Linda Chung denies biased treatment

It was only fitting that the public would say that Linda Chung is treated better by TVB and her record company Star Entertainment, as she has been getting more commercial jobs, her own concert, has appeared on variety shows, and replaced Jessica Hsuan as the lead actress for "Tiger Cubs 2".

Asian Fanatics recently reported that Linda will be holding her own mini concert on 22 August this year, which led fellow artiste, Elanne Kong, to resign from the company as she is not happy with how things worked out for Linda.

However, when asked about the rumour, Groove Asia reported that Linda, who was in Seoul shooting for a travel show, dismissed rumours of a conflict with the "Mulan" actress and stated, "Elanne and I are not on bad terms. I don't understand why these rumours existed. I was alleged to be fighting with Joyce Cheng, Alfred Hui and even Kay Tse. How do I even start the fight?"

Linda also denied that she was given special favours by the company, stating, "I admit that the boss takes good care of me, but he also takes good care of everyone. I just hope to do well on my own part. I work hard too."

The venue for Linda Chung's mini concert has yet to be announced.

Elanne Kong Clarifies Rumor: Don't Drag Linda Chung into the Water

Elanne Kong's singer contract with Star Entertainment expired and she did not have plans to renew. It was instantly rumored the company favored Linda Chung and invested all their resources on her. Yesterday Linda expressed she did not try to fight for favor. Elanne also expressed on Weibo the reason why she left Star Ent. is extremely clear.

Elanne wrote: "I must respond to the latest reports about me. The reason why I left Star Entertainment is extremely clear. (1) My contract really did expire. (2) After consideration, I found my path to pursue in and I want to thank all the love Star Ent. gave me. I'm really grateful! So, please don't drag Linda Chung into the waater, she is a good friend of mines! We supported each other during our time together in the company; it felt especially warm. My singing dream had always been there, I believe my dream will come true one day."

Linda responded to Elanne's comment simply with a "kiss" emoticon, implying her relationship with Elanne is stronger than fame and fortunes.

Boss Favors Linda Chung? "I Don't Know How to Fight For Favor"

Yesterday Linda Chung was shooting at the studio for a beauty product commercial. Earlier when she and two fans were shooting a travel show in Korea, the fans gave her an unforgettable surprise of a lifetime. However, she wanted to keep it a secret for now. "I'm easy to satisfy. Just taking pictures can satisfy me, but I don't take nude pictures." Linda continued: "If someone plays and sings a song to me, I'll feel very pleased. (Has a boyfriend done that for you before?) I don't know! I'm not materialistic, my boyfriend doesn't have to buy me a house, but when I get married, I must have a ring; the size of the ring doesn't matter. The most important is he loves me." Asked if she has already found someone who loves her? Linda smiled sweetly: "I don't know how to answer you."

It was said her record company Star Entertainment has been biased towards her, causing Elanne Kong to resign from displeasure? Linda said: "I'm innocent. I admit my boss takes good care of me, but he takes care of everyone. He isn't giving me special treatment. Elanne and I are friends, we are not on bad terms and I don't understand why [the media] is always saying I'm fighting for special favor. It was rumored I was fighting with Joyce Cheng, then with Alfred Hui and even the newly joined Kay Tse. I'm fighting with everyone, how? I don't know how to fight, I just hope to do well on my own part; I work hard too and I don't want to get obliterated. I'll be holding a mini concert on August 22nd and it is not because of favoritism from my company."

TVB has confidence in Raymond Lam

With the continuous opportunities awarded to their favourite star, Raymond Lam, TVB is confident that the actor will not be leaving them to work with rival stations.

According to Popular Asians website, TVB management executive, Virginia Lok is certain that Raymond will sign his contract renewal, stating, "We've always had a great collaboration. Even though his contract has yet to expire, we've been discussing its renewal constantly."

When asked about the details of his contract renewal, Virginia said, "It's inconvenient for me to reveal the exact conditions offered, but they are very good of course."

Virginia also denied that the terms in his new contract will hinder Raymond from marrying his lady love, Karena Ng in the next three years, saying, "We've never heard about Raymond's marriage plans. Right now he's filming a drama in Hengdian. Raymond is a hardworking person, and no one has ever called him lazy. The fact that he is dating has not affected his work performance."

The actor has been given lots of perks due to his Mandarin skills. Not only did he have his own workshop, Raymond was also allowed to film for "Lau Ka Ho" and Mui Siu Ching's nowTV grand production, "The First Empress", with the actor reportedly receiving HKD 500,000 per episode.

In addition, Raymond is also the lead in a 50-episode 3D Wuxia drama, "Lu Xiaofeng and Hua Manlou" and will be starring alongside Tony Leung (Kar Fai) in a new TVB series in 2014.

Meanwhile, a source revealed, "Raymond knows that TVB favors him, and even though there are many offers from other companies, he said he will definitely renew his contract."

TVB Releases Raymond Lam, Shoots nowTV's Series for 10million RMB

Raymond Lam is confirmed to participate in producer Miu Siu Ching and her husband Lau Kar Ho's joint collaboration -- nowTV's new costume series The First Empress. Raymond and Niki Chow are the male and female leads of this series; it was said Raymond's salary is going to be 10 million RMB. This series is a joint investment between nowTV and Mainland's HuaCe Media and helps Raymond break into the Mainland market. Because of this, some papers reported Raymond is helping nowTV combat TVB and thus intends to leave TVB next year when his contract expires.

It was reported there is a conflict of interest between nowTV and TVB, so HuaCe Media reacted and signed a contract with TVB. Virgina Lok initially proposed the high price of 20 million RMB, but due to Raymond's good relationship with Lau Kar Ho, the price was reduced to 10 million RMB. It was also reported because Raymond lost the TV King title last year, he felt discouraged and since he's developing smoothly in Mainland, he intends to leave TVB next year.

Reporters contacted Virgina Lok to confirm. She expressed the content in the reports are ridiculous and she will not comment. When speaking of Raymond participating in The First Empress, it is actually no different then any other contracted artists filming a Mainland series. Additionally, Raymond and Lau Kar Ho developed a great relationship after collaborating in several series in the past. What's more important is the tremendous investment placed into the series and it broadcasts on Mainland television. Also Raymond was offered a very high salary, but Miss Lok was unwilling to disclose the actual figures. This time, TVB reviewed and approved the contract before signing; one of the conditions in the contract is that TVB gets priority in the purchase of the broadcast rights. If other TV stations want to broadcast the series, they cannot use the original voices, it must be dubbed. Miss Lok added: "Raymond is not declining TVB series, it is just he won't have time until early next year. He is already scheduled to participate in a TVB series with Tony Leung Kar Fai early next year. (Raymond intends to leave TVB?) That is absolutely not the case. Raymond is still discussing the contract now and he will be renewing. He knows TVB loves him dearly."

"The First Empress" to go International

Producer Miu Siu Ching went to Hengdian early to prepare for The First Empress. She expressed the reports are not true and disclosed Raymond and Niki have already done their costume fitting. Raymond did not agree to participate in this series because of the money, but because of his relationship with Lau Kar Ho. Also he really liked the script, so he didn't mind working a little harder, filming two series at once. She is very happy TVB allowed Raymond to participate in her series, which proves those in the same field does not necessarily have to be enemies. The 40 episode The First Empress is not only airing on Mainland television, but also go international with a dual Chinese-English version. If nowTV broadcasts the series, then wouldn't this be a disadvantage to TVB? She expressed it is not convenient for her to disclose the business affairs. HuaCe Media has its own mechanism, both parties have a legal agreement.

It was rumored Raymond Lam and Karena Ng were secretly married in the U.S. Yesterday morning, the couple came back to HK accompanied by Raymond's cousin Lin Xiawei. At the airport, the couple walked out together with their luggage and while getting in the taxi, Raymond held his girlfriend's hand tightly. Although Raymond did not respond to any of the marriage rumors, he and Karena BB smiled at each other and totally accepted reporters' "congratulations" without a question. With her boyfriend next to her, Karena did not say a word, only Raymond disclosed she'll be denying the rumor when she attends an event later that afternoon.

Since February 2013 when the couple went public, they have appeared very sweet with nicknames for each other "Karena BB" and "L Pig", and they're often seen traveling together. A few days ago, they traveled to the U.S to attend Raymond's brother graduation at the University of Southern California. Raymond's parents and cousin Lin Xiawei went with them. Raymond's brother group photo of him with Raymond and Lin Xiawei on Weibo.

Reporters surrounded the couple asking questions on the marriage rumors and whether they're admitting tacitly? Raymond just smiled at Karena and then said: "Its always the media making up these stories. I am not responding this time." Asked if they're already married? When will they hold the wedding banquet? He said: "Huh?! Thank you! Thank you!" His responses to all other questions were the same.

Raymond expressed the US trip was to take part in his brother's graduation. Asked if his brother likes to call Karena "Ah So"? He said: "Thanks for the concern!" Are you not married yet then? He insisted on not responding, "You are asking so much, you're getting bored and I'm getting bored. Thanks for the concern!" Reporters then pursued the question on Lin Xiawei, asked if she has to call Karena "Ah So" now? She kept her head down and did not respond. Raymond and Karena were walking besides her and couldn't hold in their laughter.

Later that afternoon, Karena attended an event and was asked about her US trip with Raymond again. She said: "I was just going to attend a graduation. I do not want to talk too much about my personal matters. The graduation is part of his (Raymond) family. (Did you meet his parents?) I saw Auntie and Uncle, they are very kind. I don't want to disclose too many details, it is all in the news."

Karena expressed Raymond's parents did not rush them to get married. She said: "The marriage rumors went around several times. We had 'lightning marriage' rumors and break up rumors. I believe everyone knows its not true, but since we're dating, of course I regard him as a marriageable partner."

Raymond Lam Takes Karena to Brother's Graduation in US, Secretly Married Too?

(Raymond posts his first picture with girlfriend on WeChat. Karena apparently calls him 'L Pig')

Since Raymond Lam and Karena Ng announced their romance, their relationship went a thousand miles in a day. Aside from the sweet vacation to Europe, Japan and other places, Raymond also made his love declaration -- he said "really love" Karena 7 times. A few days ago Raymond posted a photo of him and Karena on WeChat and wrote "I love you to the moon and back". Clearly, Raymond regards Karena as his other half. Earlier he took Karena back to his hometown Xiamen to meet his parents and on Friday (May 17th), Karena accompanied Raymond to the US to attend his little brother's college graduation at the University of Southern California (USC). Raymond had always been family-oriented, even if he's extremely busy, he still took time off to attend his brother's graduation with his parents and girlfriend.

There were Raymond fans at the USC commencement, who spotted the couple together. Fans disclosed on Weibo that they personally witnessed Raymond holding Karena's hand tightly and had bodyguards around them. Karena even took a seat next to Raymond's father, which clearly implies her status as future 'Mrs. Lam'. Although Raymond's parents were around, the couple still remained in their sweet two person world, frequently looking at each other and whispering in each other's ears.

Raymond's mother had also caught Netizens' attention. Fans who saw Raymond's mother in person praised her elegant and refined image. Fans disclosed Karena and Raymond's mother chatted happily, looks like the daughter and mother in law relationship won't be too bad! Other college graduates chatted with Raymond as well, they praised his fluent English and modest personality!

Raymond/Karena Married?

Yesterday an [Oriental Daily] reader exposed their mother is the younger cousin of Raymond's father. Yesterday at the Los Angeles airport, apparently they attended Raymond and Karena's marriage ceremony. As there were witnesses of the couple at the commencement and secret marriage, reporters tried to contact Raymond to confirm, but did not get a response before the deadline of this article. However, Karena's manager responded: "I am not commenting on their personal matters, but their relationship had always been great. Thanks for the concern! (They got married?) No evidence, I am not responding."
